Enjoy Literary Arts at the Port Clinton Art Fest! Readings for kids and adults!

August 25 @ 2:00 pm

Enjoy literary arts at the Port Clinton Art Fest!

At 2pm, for kids of all ages, Robin Pullen will be presenting her picture book Caro’s Comet: A Celestial Cinderella. “This wonderfully written story of astronomer Caroline Herschel’s life will inspire any child with a physical disability to reach for the stars and never give up on their dreams.” – Francine K. Rattner, V.M.D. says “This wonderfully written story of astronomer Caroline Herschel’s life will inspire any child with a physical disability to reach for the stars and never give up on their dreams.”

At 4pm, poet Talya Jankovits will present her beautiful debut poetry collection, Girl Woman Wife Mother. Our co-owner Gayle’s blurb on the cover reads: “Talya Jankovits’ fierce, sexy, tender, searching poems chart the serpentine course of moving through life in a female body, and all its attendant frustrations and perils and sweetness and deep pleasures. These poems and their speaker stretch outside their own lines, break their own silences, step toward self-trust, self-love. As much as this book explores being girl woman wife mother,it also explores being a writer, and Talya Jankovits is a glorious one indeed. I’m grateful for this generous collection and eagerly await future books from this talented author.”

Come help us celebrate these wonderful authors on a day celebrating art of all kinds!
